Subaru scores their best month and year ever Subaru of America has announced today that it has broken their annual sales record, reporting 266,989 vehicles sold nationwide for 2011. Subaru has broken their record three years in a row and is the only manufacturer in the US to have posted four successive years of sales growth. December 2011's mark of 33,701 sales eclipses the previous monthly mark set in August 2009 when Cash for Clunkers was in effect. The December sales total also marks Subaru's best-ever sales month, eclipsing the previous best month of August 2009 ? the Cash for Clunkers month. These efforts are even more remarkable given the delays caused by the March earthquake and tsunami. Subaru has already set it's sights forward to 2012, where they will look to break the 300,000 vehicle mark in the U.S. The 2011 achievement for Subaru is all the more remarkable considering the company had to contend with significant production delays caused by the tsunami and earthquake in Japan in March 2011. To respond to strong consumer demand for its latest products, and to make up for lost production, Subaru's parent company Fuji Heavy Industries increased vehicle manufacturing in the second half of 2011. The company is now producing more cars per month than at any time in its history. Demand for the Subaru Legacy, Outback and Forester models continued to be strong in 2011 with Legacy and Outback setting individual records. The all-new 36 mpg Impreza began retail sales in November, boosting sales still further. With consumer demand so high, the company predicts a fourth record year in 2012 with sales likely to reach the milestone 300,000 mark. | Kia sets a new record for 2011 Kia also set a new record for 2011. According to Kia Motors America(KMA), the brand has sold 485,492 vehicles into the U.S. in 2011, including 43,390 units in December. The 36.3% sales increase year over year is marked as one of the strongest in the industry, and Kia has now achieved a new monthly sales record 16 months straight. The gains made by KMA are a result of an aggressive sequence of new vehicle introductions, including the Soul, now one of Kia's top performers. Thank you, - William, Satisfied Subaru Service Customer Always a pleasure doing business with Premier Subaru. I can't wait for my next visit. Great job Bob and Katie! - Monica, Satisfied Subaru Service Customer Dear Mr Alvine: I would like to take a moment of your time to comment upon the extraordinary service that I have received from Mr. Mike Crotty. I have been a physician for many years and have been privileged to own many lovely cars. I have never received as excellent service as I have from Premier Kia even from such highly regarded manufacturers as Mercedes Benz and Cadillac. Mike was determined to make sure my problems were promptly addressed even though I was not able to purchase my vehicle at your dealership because the color and options I sought were not available there. Because of him, I have recommended your dealership as the only place to buy a Kia to two friends who are thinking about a new car. He is a great asset to your organization and I hope you express my gratitude to him. Louis, Satisfied Kia Service Customer |
