In September last year we were visiting friends in Wellington ,Florida in your beautiful country when we purchased covers for the rear bumpers of our cars ,by mail order on my friends credit card and brought them back to South Africa with us. I was on my way to New Haven yesterday with my middle daughter to pick something up at Lowes. I picked up a screw in my tire and started losing air on the highway. I was going to try to stop in at Town Fair but I know it would have taken a long time and their “waiting room” isn’t that kid friendly. Instead I figured I’d call Gary and see if he could fix the tire on my Tahoe. He said bring it in. I did. I took my daughter to Dunkin Donuts, had a donut, and as I was walking back I saw Johnny bringing out my just washed truck. Couldn’t have worked out better. This all took place without my emphasizing how I was in a rush and had a lot to do (which seems like always nowadays). Please thank Gary, Dennis, Johnny and whoever the tech was (Maybe Don?) again for me. Another great experience at Premier.

I am very happy with my car. I am sorry I do not know anyone who is interested in a new car right now. I wanted to share an experience I had. I was on call and required to go into the hospital a few months ago. I was returning home around 2 AM and it was pouring rain. I was on the Q bridge with poor visibility. I started to hydroplane into the direction of the cement guardrail. I remember what you said about when in the snow take your foot off the gas and the wheels will align themselves. Well I gave it a shot in the rain and the car corrected itself . I did not hit the guard rail. Once over the bridge I had to pull over because there was then no visibility. I tell everyone now how great my car is in the rain and I feel it may have saved my life that night.

I was on my way to my daughter's house in Killington, Conn. on July 24, in my 1999 Outback Suburu on Route 95, when I felt a thumping noise from my front tire. As I was not far from your dealership I limped about 20 miles an hour to your place. I was immediately given a friendly and fast inspection of my car. In about 1/2 an hour your rep. Gary Christiansen told us that our left front wheel was loose and that's what was making that noise. He also told us about a transmission fluid leaking filter. He advised us to have this taken care of, which we did, The reason that I am writing to you is that I was very impressed with your service, your service advisor (Gary) as well the complete honesty given to me . He could have told me anything and I would have bought it and paid whatever he asked as I was totally away from home and my own dealer. It is so nice to know that integrity is still around in the business world of autos. I am sure if I had gone to a service station on Route 95, I would have never received the attention and honesty that was found at your establishment. The charge was reasonable and it was done quickly and efficiently. To add to my surprise, my car was hand washed at no charge. Not many dealerships in modest price range cars offer this reward. All in all, what could have been a miserable trip, turned out to be just a minor inconvenience. THANK YOU AND YOUR STAFF FOR A JOB WELL DONE. I am also going to write to your Suburu Headquarters to let them know that they have an outstanding dealer in Branford.

To whom it may concern;
I would like to bring to your attention the caring personnel at Premier Subaru of Branford, CT. I recently purchased my 17th Subaru, a Baja Sport. I had been thinking of getting a Baja for several months, however I wanted bells and whistles such as heated seats, auto-dim mirror, etc. without a turbo engine requiring premium gas and providing more pick up than I require (at my age pick up should be defined as the ability to rise comfortably from a sitting position). While having my Forester serviced I discussed this quandary with Mike Coughlin the superb service manager, whose expertise has helped me in the past. He provided several suggestions and allayed my fear of purchasing a truck-like vehicle. I then spoke with Stanley Nitkowski, the salesperson who had sold me several Subarus in the past and has given me consistently honest advice. He was able to build my Baja from the ground up to not only meet, but exceed my expectations. He then proceeded to arrange an excellent trade in on my Forester. My final commendation goes to Mr. Robert Alvine. This personable owner is more than readily available to his customers. He is constantly circulating through the service, parts, and sales areas in order to greet people. Mr. Alvine is extremely knowledgeable on many subjects-but in particular motor vehicles and human nature.

I would like to add some additional comments to Question 6 of the Survey. Months before I purchased my Subaru Outback, I had done my research and decided that this was the car I wanted.

When I learned that the 2005 models were going to be redesigned, I decided to wait for the new models. There are two other dealers in the area (Milford, CT and Shelton, CT) that are actually more convenient for me. However, when I went shopping for a car, without my husband, at these other dealerships, I felt that I was now given there best price because I wasn't a male.

The decision to purchase an Outback was mine and it was just a matter of where it would be purchased from. While the location of Premier Subaru, was not convenient for me, the treatment that I received, convinced me to purchase the car there.

My sales consultant, Joseph Procaccini, took his time upon delivery of the car to explain everything on the dashboard and assured me that if I had any further questions, he with there for me.

Lou Divilio, the Ownership Counselor, make purchasing the car a pleasant experience. He discussed the extended warrantee and other options in a very professional manner without making us feel pressured.

I would certainly recommend this dealership.

Let me tell you my experience with your dealership. A few months ago I bought a Subaru Impreza from %$#@! Subaru in Wallingford. I know... I know... I should have come to you first, but live and learn right? I got into a little fender bender that needed some touch up paint. I called %$#@! and they were no help to me. So I decided to give you guys a call. Well, let me tell you, I was treated like a queen. Warren without hestitation told me to come up and he would match the paint for me. When I got there, he not only matched the paint but lightly compounded the scratches so they hardly showed. I could not believe how nice I was being treated. Then I met Mike in Service who went over a contract I bought and helped me with that too. I have decided that I will be coming to your dealship in the future for all my Subaru service. Even though I live in Wallingford, it is worth the drive to me. Your service hours are GREAT and your staff is terrific. I just wish I had come there to buy the car. But I can do the next best thing, I can continue to come there for all my car needs. Please tell Warren and Mike I wrote you, they are GREAT guys. By the way my daughter who is graduating from Connecticut School of Electronics in March for automotive talked to Mike about starting in an entry postion part time there, I hope you guys will give her a chance. - just thought you would like to know how great your service department is. I first brought my car to a dealer in shelton (near home). They diagnosed me as needing a $600 tune-up. (I have 45K miles) I mentioned I recently had the 30K service done at your branch, but they still insisted I needed that done AGAIN. I left and brought the car to you. Things were fine and I only needed the 45K service at a much lower rate. I'm so grateful for their on-target diagnosis skills. I certainly saved a lot of money and aggravation. Next time, your dealership is worth the extra miles for me!


Can't let my experience at Premier Subaru in Branford go by without commenting on the excellent treatment I received while buying my new Forester XS. Never having approached a car salesperson alone, I called my son in Florida, the salesmanager of a Ford dealership, for advice. Before I left for Branford, my son called back to tell me I was to ask for Brian, the salesmanager, when I got there. My son would do all the negotiating about trade-in value, down-payment, financing, etc. All I had to do was test drive the car and choose the color. I didn't believe this was going to happen. So I went to Branford, met Brian (nice guy) and was introduced to Barb Mullen, who went with me on the test drive. I was very nervous, but Barb was super -- humorous, chatty, knowledgeable about the car, not pushy, and very concerned about me. I left after the test drive and returned two days later to purchase the car, all arrangements having been made by phone between my son, Brian, and Barb. It was super. Where else could this happen except at Premier with these super people.

Thanks ever so much for such great treatment,especially Barb. I am now a certified member of the "I LOVE MY SUBARU CAR CLUB'.

I just wanted to tell you about an incident that happened today(May 12)that deserves comment. I inadvertently locked myself out of my Outback Subaru while getting gas at the Mobil station on Route 1 near exit 54. The motor was running and the air conditioner was on and I had shopping bags full of perishables.The keys were in the ignition and the doors were locked. I called service and spoke with Mike who told me he could cut a key for me ASAP. In fact within no time at all Warren came by with a newly cut key that fit and I was set to go. This needless to say helped me out of a jam. Everybody was very courteous and efficient. I thought you might like to know this. A satisfied customer.

My husband, Ed, and I recently purchased a 2004 Subaru Outback from your dealership and we absolutely LOVE it!!! The best part of the purchase was working with Barbara Mullen, who is by far one of the nicest and down-to-earth automobile Sales representatives that we have ever met. She provided a "soothing" atmosphere during the process by offering sound advice, a thorough knowledge of the vehicle, and a bit of wit and charm, too. This was much appreciated by my husband and I, especially with the past experiences we have had while buying a new automobile.

I also would like to add that our 5 year old Siberian Husky, Napa, just loves her new chariot and is more comfortable riding around than ever before. For now, she is our only child (a four legged one!) and it is so great to know that she not only rides in style, but in total safety, as well.
