From the moment I walked into the dealership, Tammy and Daniel were nothing but helpful, cheerful, and friendly. Daniel showed me the Subaru Impreza I had seen on the website, and when I was concerned with the trunk space in the car and whether it would fit all my soccer equipment for practices, Daniel showed me a few other options, along with setting me up to bring all of my gear to the dealership and drive the Impreza to practice to ensure everything would fit comfortably. His outside of the box thinking and great customer service sold me on not only the car but the dealership. Daniel and Tammy made me feel at ease at what can be a very stressful process. Thanks again!

I cannot thank Premier enough for this amazing experience in buying a car
My boyfriend and I came all the way from Long Island, NY to trade in his 2003 Mach 1 Mustang for his dream car, a Subaru WRX. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff, specifically Barb Mullen. Not only did she go above and beyond for us when it came to welcoming us, but she was informative, attentive and a complete PLEASURE to speak to. Our test drive was amazing, Vinny actually got a feel for the car, instead of a 10 minute drive that dealers usually give. Barb took us out to show us what this car was made of, and to see she loved driving stick, made her even more loveable!. We spent a total of 6 to 7 hours at the dealer including negotiations on his trade and other things such as paperwork. Not one complaint when it came to the hospitality of every individual in that establishment, but above all Barb will always stand out in my mind. The rating of 5/5 on almost every possible choice is clear; we came on a mission to find Vinny his car, at an amazing price that was never offered back home. The customer service and every other aspect is truly remarkable, one in which I'm still telling everyone about when they ask about Vinnys new car! Although I was more upset then Vinny as we drove away, leaving his gorgeous mustang on the lot, I knew Barb was right when she said it was for new, fresh start. It is amazing to see how comfortable Vinny is at driving, he loves everything about it. I cannot thank Premier enough for this amazing experience in buying a car, I know we will never find anything like this back home, as well as Cheryl who emailed Vinny back and forth multiple times answering any and all questions about the WRX listed on the website, she is the soul reason we came all the way from Long Island. But most importantly, I deep and gracious thank Barbara Mullen for the amazing, caring, and truly out of this world customer service and hospitality. She should be commended for her work, as well as perfect directions to Dairy Queen, Vinny left with his dream car, and I left with a full belly of ice cream we do not have on the Island!!

The visit was wonderful.
Usually just the thought of going to a car dealer makes you feel stomach sick. Not so at Premier Subaru. The visit was wonderful. We actually enjoyed our experience with Premier and felt comfortable talking with both Adam and Bob. We got a fair price on my new Subaru and would recommend them to our friends in a heart beat.

At no point did I feel rushed into making a decision
My search for a low-mileage certified pre-owned Forester from a highly rated Subaru dealership led me to Premier Subaru. Far from being an impulse shopper when it comes to car buying, I immediately appreciated that the sales staff at Premier gave me the time, space, and freedom to walk the lot alone and look over the wide variety of CPO models on site. During my first visit, I had the pleasure of running into Michael Iovino and immediately felt that he was the kind of relaxed, low-pressure salesman I wanted to work with. Mike was absolutely terrific in every way: knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and patient. Over the course of several more visits spanning a five-week period, Mike was always available to answer my questions and discuss the pros/cons of specific vehicles I zeroed in on. At no point did I feel rushed into making a decision, nor was I ever made to feel like I was wasting his or anyone else's time. I really respect this long-term-view approach to doing business; it's clear that Premier is a dealership that makes customer loyalty and satisfaction a priority. Long story short: because of Mike, I am now the proud owner of a gently used 2010 Forester that met all of my criteria. Even better, I got it for a fair price, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. Mike has my highest recommendation. Definitely seek him out.

I drove from the Albany, NY area to buy a car from Premier Subaru. They had the *best* prices within a 100-mile radius, hands down. Rita was FANTASTIC to deal with. She set up everything ahead of my Saturday visit and called me en route to let me know who to ask for once I got there. I met with Adam, who had the car all ready for a test drive by the time I arrived. Will, Rodney, and Mike tag-teamed on the trade-in and financing ends. Tammy batted cleanup and took care of all the other details, including handling out-of-state registration. It was a wonderful experience and I absolutely *LOVE* my 2012 Subaru Legacy! It was more than a 12-hour day that included a 6-hour round trip, but I'm very happy I made the drive. If you want a great price on a Subaru and a fabulous team to work with, go to Premier Subaru! You won't regret it.

Our experience at Premier Subaru was the way it should be at all cars dealers. Pleasant and relaxed, friendly and no pressure. Mark Gennette was very calm and laid back. He showed us any car we wanted to see and encouraged me to try driving any one I wanted too. There were none of the typical car dealer catch phrases used at all I loved that! We couldn't be happier with our Subaru Outback, it's like brand new. Mark even got me a new hubcap for a scratched one that we discovered. Thank you again, Mark. Michael Meyer was also very good guiding us through all the paper work and so patient trying to get our insurance card snfu straightened out so we coud take the car home.We wish him well in his career. A very nice young man! Any way our experience was great,we will be back.

Great team at Premier Subaru in Branford and we would definitely recommend
While it was a busy day at the dealership, Mark Gennette still did a great job attending to us and our needs. He took us on a great test drive which really gave us a feel of the vehicle. Mark also had such a great up-beat personality and a great knowledge of the vehicles - he was able to answer any question we had with good informative detail. Then, Will Petrillo helped us value our trade in vehicle to a fair amount taking into consideration our certified pre-owned purchase. He really did a good job getting us to a payment we felt comfortable with. Lastly, Rodney Pomerleau was great in getting us all the paperwork signed and sealed in a quick fashion. He was very detailed in his description of everything signed and all the services we would have included in our purchase. I never dreamed I would LOVE a SubaruMy husband and I went to shop around for a new vehicle. We had read and talked to friends and coworkers and thought we would go test drive three makes of cars. We had no intention of buying a car that day but after driving a limited Subaru outback, we did indeed buy the Subaru that same day without test driving any of the other makes. Herman Winston, the salesman who worked with us is very knowledgable about the vehicles. The reason we bought the car that day is because Winston was very patient with us and helped us to trade in our vehicle and buy a car. I never dreamed I would LOVE a Subaru but boy was this a great decision. I have owned many makes of cars but I am feeling the Outback as the best one!!!!!

We were waited on immediately. Scott was very pleasant and knowledgeable in answering questions. He explained everything about the car we wanted including a tour of the service center.We never felt pressured or hurried. We just purchased our 2014 Subaru Forester Touring, our 4th Forester and 10th Subaru. We can't say enough good things about Premier Subaru because they really do have the customer's interest's at heart. From sales to service, we have never had a complaint and find that everyone takes it upon himself/herself to be sure that the customer is completly satisfied. I would highly recommend Premier Subaru for a new or used car purchase.I worked with Rita Ruhland via email prior to visiting the dealership. We had a few exchanges and I narrowed down my test drive choices to a 2013 Impreza Sport Premium and a 2013 WRX. Unfortunately between talking with Rita and coming in for the test drive, another customer put a deposit on the 2013 Impreza Sport so I was unable to test drive the specific model. They let me know early in the process that the car I was originally interested in was unavailable and found a suitable replacement for me to drive in addition to the WRX. The test drives were no hassles at all. Scott Collins simply got the keys and away we went. I didn't feel any sort of high pressure sales. It was a very relaxed environment, and everybody in the dealership was friendly and professional. They gave me a very fair price for my trade in and a great deal on the WRX I ended up purchasing. I would highly recommend Premier Subaru for a new or used car purchase.

I had a terrific experience purchasing a new Subaru at Premier last week...I found the sales room to be bright and cheery. Everybody I saw and met were very friendly and helpful. For example, I was looking for a brochure to bring home to my wife. I was told that they were currently out of them for my model. A staff member overheard the conversation and offered go search for one that may been previously in use. After a short search she found one. I was impressed that she cared even though she was not a member of the sales team.
My salesman, Herman Winston, was excellent. Buying a new car in a showroom is not always a pleasant experience. Herman made it very comfortable and easy. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the different models and their features. I think he was proficient at every thing from setting the clock to tuning the engine. It was a very good experience.

I have bought several cars over the past 10 years and I have NEVER had such a pleasant and consumer respectful experience.
Adam made my Outback purchase easy and pleasant. I was not pressured at all to purchase the vehicle. He gave me all information, nothing was hidden. I was free to go home and think it over without pressure to buy that day. I have bought several cars over the past 10 years and I have NEVER had such a pleasant and consumer respectful experience. My car was not on the Premier lot but they were able to locate the car elsewhere within days. Upon pick up, Adam spent an hour with me answering all questions and explaining all features of the vehicle. I would DEFINITELY recommend doing business with Adam and Premier Subaru! Thanks guys!!!

The Crosstrek is a fantastic car, and I look forward to many happy years with it. I just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you how great a job Mike did when working with me. He didn't sell me a car - he sold me Premier. Mike was relaxed, professional and extremely friendly. I didn't feel rushed, and I genuinely felt like he was enjoying telling me all about the Crosstrek! I have already told a friend (who is currently looking for a Subaru) about Mike, and I hope that they come in soon to meet with him. I also wanted to give a quick "thanks" about Tammy. Customer service is the most important thing to me when it comes to any daily transaction, from dinner to a car. She is the one on the "front lines," and I don't think you could have anyone better in that position. I was pleasantly shocked that she remembered my name every time I visited, and even more pleased in her overall friendliness! I felt like I was at home the first time I walked in and heard a "hello" from Tammy, and of course when I met you. All around, Premier was an absolutely fantastic experience. Mike was patient, thorough, and full of knowledge - and had a magnificent personality. The personal experience is more important to me than anything else, and it was a pleasure to have it from Mike...even when he had to work later than he was supposed to! A premier experience for the customer
When my wife and I stopped by Premier Subaru to check out the 2014 Forester, we were introduced to Mike Iovino. Mike LISTENED to what we were interested in, made sure we were aware of all the options available to us, and enhanced our shopping experience with his ability to stay focused on what we wanted to see.
There was never any pressure during our shopping; in fact Mike asked to make sure we were comfortable with the pace of activity. Our test drive route was designed by Mike to accurately reflect the type of driving that we normally encounter.
When we returned, we were given a tour of the dealership and given an opportunity to talk to the service people who were quite happy to speak with us.
During our follow up visit Mike reviewed with us what we were looking for so there would be no misunderstanding on his part. It wasn't long before we had the keys to our new Forester.
After the sale Mike and the dealer have followed up with us multiple times, making sure we are happy with our car and stressing that they are there for us after the sale as well.
With a name like "Premier Subaru" the dealership is suggesting a premier experience for the customer. To us as first time customers, Mike Iovino has certainly provided premier service from the time we met him.

I was given an honest answer
I had come in for an oil change and to have the ball joints checked and probably replaced. I was pretty convinced they needed to be done, but the service dept. said they were in good condition and didn't need replacement. As I was leaving I was struck by the fact that I was given an honest answer and that I wasn't being taken for a financial ride, as I would have paid to replace the parts with no question. Integrity is an unusual thing to find lurking in a garage. Thanks!

I have felt taken advantage of because I don't know enough about cars and I'm not an aggressive person.

The staff is friendly and it is a casual, comfortable atmosphere.
After contacting a few other dealerships I had contacted Rita Ruhland online through the website before going in. She was quick to respond and quoted a decent price for the new car I wanted (some dealerships insist you go into the showroom before quoting any price). She referred me to Jeff Lambert, who followed up with a phone call immediately. Buying a car can be exciting and stressful at the same time, but from the moment I drove into Premier I felt comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. I never felt pressured to buy and all my questions where answered honestly. The staff is friendly and it is a casual, comfortable atmosphere. Everyone is professional and accomodating. When negotiating price I felt that Will really helped out and listened to my needs and my budget concerns. I am thrilled to have a great new car that I feel safe in yet still looks sporty.
As a side note, when driving into the dealership with my old car, it started making a terrible noise. I met Johnny, one of the mechanics out in the parking lot. He told me not to worry, that they would look it over before I left. I walked into service and spoke with Gary who took it in right away (after Johnny drove it around the block). They gave me a full diagnostic report offered me a decent trade in offer, which I felt was very generous.
Although this dealership is about 50 minutes from my home I will be going back there for service and for my next purchase. Thanks to the whole staff for the professional image you project and uphold. You are the epitomes of what customer service represents.

Professionalism, attention to detail and overall competence
My 2013 Subaru Legacy Limited is my 2nd purchase from Premier Subaru. I contacted Adam Arsenault my salesman from the first purchase on Feb 28. I asked if I could stop in on my way home from work to talk about trading in my '09 legacy. He pointed out that being the last day of the month the dealership would be quite busy (having been in the business I know what that's like)and that he had deliveries scheduled all day. He said if I wanted I could stop by around 6:45 because he should be finished by then. When I got there the place was indeed quite busy. Adams last delivery went a little longer than expected which I understand happens. Well long story short Adam treated me like the 1st customer of the day and after a long hectic day he stayed until well after closing to get our deal done.
I can't say enough about Adams professionalism,attention to detail and overall competence. His product knowledge is quite impressive. He truly loves the cars he sell and it shows in his presentation and knowledge.
Adam is a fantastic asset to Premier and a great reflection on the owner of the dealership.
I would not hesitate to recommend Adam and Premier and I look forward to working with him again in the future.

We love our Forester, and we WILL be back!!My car-buying experience at Premier Subaru was, in a word, memorable! My husband and I were Jeep owners. We were looking around for another car to replace our Jeep, but not actively. I found Premier online. A good 45-50 miles away, getting my husband to agree to even look at a car that far away was in itself going to be quite the challenge. So I sort of set him up by talking him into test-driving a Forester at the local Subaru dealer, a very congested dealership on a very congested artery in a very congested city. That was nothing short of a disaster. We wanted some elbow room (the place was packed with people), and a sales consultant who would spend his energy on one customer at a time. (By the time we got back from our test drive, we had to wait 10 minutes for our guy to be done with the people now sitting in our seats, just to give him back the key to the car!) Fast-forward to the following Saturday. We went to Premier Subaru, and knew instantly that this was going to be a much more positive experience. We were placed in the capable hands of Scott Collins, who walked us through the details of both an Outback and a Forester. We took a leisurely test-drive of the Outback with Scott, and our minds were made up. We sat down, about 30 minutes before closing time, to do up the papers on our soon-to-be Outback, such a smooooooth-driving vehicle. The only problem: the Forester parked right next to me in the showroom. I was distracted by that Forester! To make a very long story somewhat shorter, 75 minutes after the dealership had officially closed for the evening, I was still busy testing the patience of Scott (my husband had long given up by that point). The end result was the Forester, only because it handled more like my beloved Jeep. So, we signed the papers and were out of there in plenty of time to see the sun come up. I cannot commend Scott Collins enough for the professionalism, wit and patience he displayed (not necessarily in that order) throughout my indecisiveness. When we picked up the Forester two days later, we arrived well before our 1:00 appointment. We went through the channels and wound up in the capable hands of Mike Meyers, who was there to collect the balance from us and explain the warranty, etc. Welp, I forgot the certified check. So off we went - one-hour drive home, picked up the check off of the desk, and drove another hour back to Branford. At this point, almost everyone in the dealership was very empathetic, funny and just plain wonderful! I felt as though I knew everyone there by the time we left with our new car. Before we took possession of the car, I did notice a very minor issue having to do with the console. I spoke to Scott about it, and he resolved it in almost no time at all. And I have since had general questions for both the service and parts departments regarding extras that I would like to buy. EVERYBODY I spoke to at Premier Subaru was professional and accommodating, and I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the entire staff. What a nice change from the typical dealerships I've visited. In a nutshell: We love our Forester, and we WILL be back (for that Outback)!!! Many, MANY thanks to you all for stepping outside of that stereotypical box, and providing us with such an enjoyable buying experience! P.S... If you are a potential buyer reading this, please don't put Scott through the ordeal that I did - LOL!!

New Outback and extremely satisfied!!
We were shopping for a Subaru Outback. Herman greeted my wife and I at the front door and our experience continued to get better fom there. We knew what we wanted, but the vehicle was not in your inventory. Herman quickly found a vehicle in the area and assured us that it would be available. Next he had our 1999 GMC Yukon trade-in evaluated. We received a fair price for our trade. We had visited other dealerships and the value you folks gave us for our trade was the deciding factor in buying from Premier.
Rodney was very thorough and concise in explaining our warranty and maintenance options.
Lastly was the vehicle walk-around. Herman was a Rock Star...he knew the vehicle inside and out, integrated our phone and answered all of our questions in terms that we could understand!
We drove away with our new Outback and extremely satisfied!!

Very happy with our Subaru Forrester
It's been 20 years since we shopped for a new or almost new car, so we wanted a vehicle that was going to be nice in appearance, but also reliable and good on gas. Today, we drove home our 2011 Subaru Forrester Limited that appears to have all of those qualities.
Herman Winston was our salesman and he bent over backwards to meet our needs in choosing vehicle. Mike Myers also did a fantastic job with the paperwork and got us on the road with a smile. We think that weare going to be very happy with our Subaru Forrester and if that's the case, we will be back.

From the initial contact with Rita Ruhland to my salesman, Herman Winston, they made buying a car so easy...these people got it together. They all worked seamlessly together from showing the vehicles to pricing trade-ins all the way to doing the final paperwork. Herman put up with me putting the car through the paces and without a peep.. what a trooper. Poor Rita looked for the car I wanted all over the New England states and only for me to change my mind the day I went to test drive it. God bless her patience. Everyone in this dealership is just so easy going and laid back and informative it made buying my fourth Subaru a breeze. We even took delivery in the middle of the Blizzard of 2013 and they were there and had us on our way in no time.. That is true customer dedication in my eyes. I have many friends that drove/drive Subaru's & my '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee was very tired. So my friend Don I.told me to check out Premier, said he never had a problem with them & since I was a little leery of dealerships from past dealings, I said ok...WOW, doesn't cover it, Barb my sales lady was AWESOME!!..great personality...likeable people..we test drove MY now 2009 Forester 2.5 X in a brief snow storm...Loved it from the get-go!!...1st. time ALL-WHEEL driver, Tammy the receptionist, was very friendly & also a great people-person, always with a warm & welcoming smile! and Rodney in the finance department jumped thru some BIG hoops to get me that car & was just as pleasant & welcoming as everyone else, there were a couple of other people involved, but can't think of their names..THANK YOU one & all for getting me my new(TO ME) Forester.

We needed another car since we are adding a driver to the family. We had researched different cars and because we wanted a safe and New England weather friendly car, we decided to check out Premier. Andy was fantastic and very knowledgeable and friendly! Made us feel at ease and answered all of our questions. Rodney was easy to work with on the finance side. I found everyone at the dealership to very professional and helpful.
When I walked into the dealership I was greeted by your receptionist who was very friendly and called a salesman for me. I then met Herman Winston who was very know- of the product and proceeded to take all the time that was necessary to answer all of my questions, took me for a demonstration ride. upon returning to the dealership showed me the service dept and introduced me to the service manager. We then went through the inventory and found the car that I purchased the following day.
My sales person, Herman Winston made me feel very comfortable through the entire sale and delivery I would recommend both Herman and the dealership to my friends and others that I am sure will admire the Subaru Legacy that I purchased.
In closing I must admit that in a total of about six hours that I spent at the dealership purchasing my Legacy I found everyone at the dealership to very professional and helpful.

Our saleman Jeff is a great listener and that meant a lot. He addressed all of my numerous requests promptly and cheerfully. Rodney did a great job of explaining the contracts I had to sign. My experience at Premier Subaru was exceptional.
When they advertise no haggle they mean it and that takes a lot of the stress of going to a dealer off the customer. I felt none of the pressure as with other dealers. The gentlemen that worked with me made my experience a good one and I would definitly recommend them to any of my friends/family.

Finally a no pressure approach to buying a new car.
The Sabaru basically sells itself when it comes to quality and workmanship. This allows the salespersons to focus on picking from a wide range of options and styles.
I also liked that the owner of the dealership was on the floor answering questions and greeting all of the customers in a professional and friendly manner.After looking at the cars and test driving them the dealership was very helpful with our busy schedule allowing us to transact much of the process via email. The trade in process was very smooth and they provided a no bait and switch fair trade for our old car. The one item we did not care for was the pitch for the extended service contract. I know they have to do it and the Finance Manager did not use any pressure he was great eplained the Pros & Cons, we just figured with such high ratings from Edmunds and Consumer Reports it is a tough sale and I think they realize it so they are careful not to deminish their brand by overselling this option.
All of the features of the car were described at pick up and we were in and out of the dealership in 2 hours.
All in all a great dealership, with a great value, We give them an A+.

I must say that dealing with Herman Winston and his team was a pleasure.
The deal I got was great and I can't say enough good things about my 2011 Subaru Legacy 3.6R limited. I've had the Legacy one month and the car is simply amazing. I can tell you this, if you are buying a Subaru this IS the place to go. I have never seen a service center so clean. I traveled over 50 miles to buy this car and it was time well spent.

Car searching is never fun or easy especially when there is a time limit, but this dealership, was one of the best I've been to, and gave the best experience I've had in a long time, Mark Gennette, not only sold me on the car, but really gave me the chance to fall in love with my 2012 Subaru Legacy, he gave me a great test drive, and detailed learning about the car I'd be investing my time with, by the end of that test drive I not only knew the car, but wanted it, and he was a great sales man, he was not pushy, he was just everything a person who's never owned a Subaru, needed and made me not only feel confident in my decision, but overly joyed and relieved and made me feel that I made a great choice, and I've had the car for over a week and love it more than words can describe. Not only was Mark incredible, but the overall staff in this dealer was so friendly, they make you feel at home, and that your business and your presence was welcomed and wanted. When it came to scheduling and other details, Tim Rourke was a joy and a pleasure to have, he was funny, great spirited, and made me continue to love my decision for the car I bought, and not only made me feel at ease but made me feel like I made a friend. And also, Rodney Pomerleau, made my dream of being able to take my car home the same day, he was such a nice guy, and made me so happy and relieved that he was willing to get my information taken care of the same day, and he had a great sense of humor, and very detailed and explained in detail anything I had questions with. All I have say is I love Premier subaru! It has been the only car dealer I have visited for the last 7 years!
When I hear any of my friends are looking for a car I send them directly to see Adam! I have had nothing but positive experiences when dealing with anything from buying a new car to having the smallest question answered by the service department. I feel like part of the family whenever I walk into the showroom, Rich the general manager has come out and spent time helping us make sure everything we needed was taking care of. They have built a lasting relationship with my family, my wife and I are both Subaru drivers and very happy. I highly recommend visiting this dealership if you are in the market for a subaru, the brand can't be beat and Between Adam (salesman) and Rich (Gm) are both nice and genuine people that is why I give them 5 out 5 rating!!

I hate car dealerships! The staff at Premier Subaru in Branford, however, changed my mind. I started out looking for a certified pre-owned Subaru and ended up with a 2012 Subaru Legacy. The whole experience was relaxing; there was no pressure to buy, no talking at me, rather the staff discussed options and let me make the decision. What I was particularly impressed with was the fact that even though my husband accompanied me, once they knew I was buying the car then I was the person they focused on. Buying a car is a daunting experience. If you go by what the advertising world wants you to know, every car is the perfect car... We had no experience to draw from when we pulled into Premiere Subaru... Our goal was to look at used cars, but as it often happens, we ended up buying our very first brand new car. We could not be happier. Barb answered all the questions we had about the car, and even let us talk to the service people in the back of the dealership. We spent about 4 hours at the dealership looking at cars and test driving new and used ones, but never felt pushed or pressured to do anything we did not feel comfortable doing. We ended up buying a new car because, in the end, that seemed to be the smartest thing we could do given the deal they were offering.We are thrilled with our new Outback and we still can't believe it is ours...I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market to buy a car... After a less than pleasant visit to another local Subaru dealer we came to Premier and worked with Adam on a 2013 Forester lease. Adam was the most pleasant customer rep we have ever worked with. He was cheerful, professional and very personable. He answered every question we had and we never were pressured or rushed into a decision. On delivery he went through every feature and showed us evey thing in the car in great detail and left out nothing. He took us through the repair and parts area and made sure when we return for service that we know exactly where everything is. The most pleasant lease/purchase we have ever had in over 40 years of driving and buying cars. We highly recommend Premier and Adam.

We had some trepidation initially in returning to Premier. A couple of years ago we looked at a used Outback and got an overzealous sales person who inundated us with phone calls and mailings. Very annoying! I must say, I am SO glad we came back!!! Tim Rourke was fantastic! Straightforward and determined to find a way to satisfy our needs, he was creative and relentless in scouring the inventory - lo and behold, we ended up going with a new Outback and we couldn't be happier. In 50 years of buying new cars (i'm now 77) i never met a sales person as friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating as Barbara Mullen! What a gal! She talked my wife and myself into a legacy and we haven't regretted it for an instant. After one visit she gave us a familiarity drive and after the second visit she broke us in on all the gadgets and devices. When we picked up the car two weeks ago she helped us further--by the time we left we felt like old pros! I'm happy to recommend premier subaru in general and barbara mullen in particular as the ultimate sales person! Very good service staff too - they held a seminar on service intervals and procedures so no mysteries remain. The subaru legacy is a smooth-running machine that will please any auto enthusiast.

They have a very simple, honest, and easy process for buying a car...
I recently visited Premier Subaru to purchase an off-lease Forester. Their prices were lower than anyone else in the state and they have a very simple, honest, and easy process for buying a car. The prices listed on the used vehicles are the prices they sell the cars for, so don't expect to haggle. However the prices are super low comparatively, and they are all reconditioned to like new condition before they sell them. I ended up buying a 2011 Forester and they really shopped around to get me a great interest rate. In fact, they quoted an interest rate for me, which I accepted and then called me back to say they found it even lower at another bank which I thought was very classy. All in all this is a no frills shopping experience. All of their used cars are in perfect condition and most are certified. They are honest and do not try to upsell and would rather put you in the car you want to be in than pressure you into to spending more money. A very positive experience overall and I would definitely recommend Premier to anyone interested in a Subaru who wants a low-pressure environment to shop in.

James Crook did a fabulous job of helping my wife and I...
My wife and I had been looking for an all wheel drive SUV for some time and had decided to purchase a certified/used Subaru. We were not sure if it would be a Forester or an Outback and whether it would be an older, pre 2010 model or the newer body style. We live in East Lyme and had several dealerships to choose from. Simply put we needed to find the right car for us, at the right price and the right dealership that we would feel comfortable buying from. We visited a couple of dealerships over a few weeks and finally decided it was time to go for some test drives and chose Premier Subaru because of the diverse inventory. James Crook did a fabulous job of helping my wife and I test drive several 2009 and 2010 Foresters and Outbacks so that we could make up our own minds as to the vehicle that best met our personal needs and preference. He did so while answering our questions and making valid suggestions of his own. In the end we feel we found exactly what we were looking for but most importantly Richard Johnson was then able to reasonably meet our price expectations and then work with the finance manager, Rodney, to beat the finance terms that out bank had given us and thereby help close the gap between the price we had wanted to pay for the car and the price that Rich Johnson was able to offer us. The overall efforts by James, Rich and Rodney all made for a very satisfactory experience in dealing with Premier Subaru and we are pleased to say that we can quite easily recommend the dealership to others. We now are even looking forward to bringing our Subaru down to North Branford for service when we originally did not think we would even consider doing so for the simple fact that the dealership is 30 miles from our home. However because we have a long history of Volvo ownership and satisfaction with the service we have gotten from the mechanics who have kept our Volvos in top running condition for the past 25 years it is comforting to think that we might have found a dealership who will do the same for the Outback we have just purchased and who have promised that we can expect equally reliable performance from the Subaru that we have gotten from our Volvo. Time will tell if Robert Alvine's Premier Subaru Dealership lives up to the expectations we have. I'm guessing that it will if our first experience is proves a reliable indication of future performance and if Rich Johnson promise can be taken at his word than this is truly just the beginning of a long and happy relationship.

When looking for a new car.I saw a Subaru Forster and belive it or not I had to have it.So, I called and made an a appointment to see Tim Rourke.When we arrived tim took me and my wife to look at afew forsterers.We took one for drive and the rest is history..I got my car for a better price then we ever expected.Tim took the time to show us the best and cheepest way to fineance the car.Rich Johnson was great as he is the one evalueated my trade. I know now why Premier Subaru is the most successful dealer on the east coast, because they treat everyone like family.

I am blown away by the customer service you offer at Premier and will tell everyone I know about it.
Yesterday I went to the Premier Subaru service center for the first time to take care of a manufacturer's recall. I was really impressed with the friendly and efficient customer service of the front desk staff and the comfort and amenities of the waiting room. After my car was serviced as I was getting onto the highway, I noticed that my driver's side mirror, which had been cracked when I arrived at Premier, was now completely broken and falling off. As soon as I was able the next day, I called the service center and talked with Dennis Cullen. He patiently listened to what I had to say and offered to replace the mirror glass for no charge and told me to come in anytime that was convenient for me. When I arrived, my car was immediately attended to and I was out in less than 20 minutes. But to make my story even better, your team washed my car, too! I am blown away by the customer service you offer at Premier and will tell everyone I know about it. Your staff won a new and loyal customer today and deserve to be recognized. Thank you.

It was pretty much the ideal experience for someone getting their car serviced.
The service I received was fantastic. I was able to schedule my appointment online, was greeted promptly at the service center, and was back on the road in the amount of time I was quoted when I arrived - and that included an extra oil change because the mechanics noticed I was just about due for one. It was pretty much the ideal experience for someone getting their car serviced. Thank you!

This was one of my best experiences in purchasing a car. Everyone throughout the dealership was very friendly. I did not feel pressured, but I felt as though staff were invested in having me purchase a vehicle at the same time. I purchased a used Subaru Forester and felt as though I got a great deal without having to get into ridiculous negotions. I felt as though Boris let me take my time and even when feeling indecisive, was able to be very helpful without additional pressure. I definitely recommend this dealership and can't wait to be able to utilize the service department!

I will probably will never want to drive anything but a Subaru.
I knew when I was buying this new one that it was most definitely going to be from this dealership. I like their service department and I bought the last Outback from them. They don't push to sell probably because they have such an awesome product, but they make car buying as least painful as possible. Vanessa, who helped us out a lot this time around, was great. Her patience and commitment to not only Subaru, but to us made all the difference. She made sure at every step that we were getting the vehicle we wanted, answered all the questions asked and kept a smile the whole time. We appreciated that and haven't had any hesitation to recommend Premiere, but especially Vanessa. Thank you.

Good to meet a sharp mechanic that is careful, thorough, and conscientious.
Just a memo to advise as to developments on my visit today to your service department, customer no. 201658 [Lounsbury], inv. # 147612. This is the Sedan that you sold to Walter Hess for his wife Ruthie, my neighbors; I bought it from Walter when his wife died and it was surplus to his needs. The auto was tossed onto the rack for some diagnosis work, and your mechanic spotted the torn boot over the front half-shaft. I had noticed this (and the ejectment of the U-joint grease) earlier yet in the press of business had failed to write it up to myself and forgot it when I was with you. Nonetheless, your mechanic did independently spot the tear and the shaft, now without grease, was replaced to avoid field failure. I run a tour bus company and have to contend with all issues mechanical on a continuing basis (and nothing gets more expensive than a field failure in a tour bus, a company nightmare, so you can bet we knock ourselves silly on PM). Kudos to your man for spotting this, as it was tucked up in the bowels of the back engine compartment and not obvious. He is a very sharp fellow. Hang onto him; he knows his stuff! Good to meet a sharp mechanic that is careful, thorough, and conscientious.

The buying process could not have been easier!
I went into Premier Subaru for my dream car, the BRZ, and the buying process could not have been easier! Adam was extremely helpful and such a pleasure to work with! It didn't feel like I was dealing with a salesperson, but an actual friend! He made sure to keep me updated on the progress of the deal throughout the entire process. The communication and transparency was great, and made my decision so much easier! He is definitely a great person to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone buying a new or used car! As always your team does a great job. Had my 45000 mile checkup and said I would wait as they said about 90 minutes but was in and out in about an hour. Everyone in the service dept is so helpful and friendly that I never mind coming in for a service. And I love my 2010 Outback!

I had scheduled my oil change and 7500 mile service for the same night as my daughter's senior prom. I did not realize that it might be a conflict until too late. When I showed up at the Service Center, I explained my predicament to Gary. He told me the service usually takes at least an hour, but they would do their best to make sure I was out in time. Much to surprise, my name was called 45 minutes later. Not only did I get there in time to take pictures of my daughter, I beat her to the site they had chosen to take pictures. I truly appreciate the responsiveness shown by the members of the Service Center to my scheduling needs.

When one deals with Premier there are no surprises!
I first became aquainted with Premier Subaru over seven years ago when I purchased the first new car of my life (I was 60 at the time!), a 2005 Outback from them. In the ensuing years, I became very friendly with, and trusting of Gary and Dennis in the service department. Recently, I asked my friends in service what they thought my used Outback would bring in trade-in. Avoiding any hint of high pressure, I was introduced to Jeff Irzyk, who, with speed and efficiency obtained a more-than-satisfactory trade-in quote. Prior to the present, I had not met nor dealt with Jeff before. However, I recalled having seen his name among the employees when I bought my vehicle in '05. (It's Irzyk folks, not Smith nor Jones!) Both Gary and Dennis spoke for his competence, and as usual, they were right. Jeff had seven years of experience at Premier and had owned two Subarus. Dealing with him was as close to a pleasure as dealing can be. Jeff never failed to go the extra mile to ensure that I was satisfied. Unlike the average car salesman, Jeff made every effort to see that the customer understood every aspect of the sale. All in all I walked away feeling that I had been treated fairly and had gotten a deal I was pleased with. I feel that when one deals with Premier there are no surprises! I have and would recommend this dealership to Family and Friends.

My husband and I met you yesterday while we were talking with your salesman Tim Rourke. We just wanted to let you know that our experience with Tim was the best ever, and we have been in many car dealerships over the years. I had actually stopped in on Wednesday just to get an idea of what the Subarus are like, get some idea of pricing, models, gas mileage etc. Tim was very personable, pleasant and what i appreciated most of all was that he took the time to show me around, answer my questions, without any pressure! That was really impressive! When I was satisfied with the information he had given me, I thanked him, and walked away thinking i wouldn't mind doing business with him and Premier. I visited two other dealerships after yours, and was met quite differently. I was ushered in, offered a chair, and I never had a chance to say a word until I had to give them my name, address, phone number. My first thought was they are not interested in why I am here, but want to sell me a car and will probably haunt me now that they have my phone number! But this didn't surprise me, since it seems to be the way it works in most places. Thinking about this, who would you want to do business with?Well, I had also done my homework. Our latest Consumer Reports Magazine had arrived and Subaru beat Honda for the first time for top car, and I also spoke to someone I know well who owns a Subaru, and her remarks were I would definitely buy another one ?I love it. My husband and I both own one. After doing all the footwork, I related my experiences with my husband, and I told him I would love to go back and see the Subaru, and talk some more to Tim. Which is exactly what we did. It was the most comfortable experience we've ever had in a dealership. i was truly impressed with the people we observed working there, the people we met, including Rodney in the business office. We spoke with Tim for quite a while, then we did a test drive of the Outback, the car we were interested in purchasing. Every aspect of that vehicle was presented to us by Tim. He was letting the car sell us by all he pointed out, and we thought that was so professional! There was no hokey hype, no BS, just someone who wanted us to know all about a vehicle we were showing great interest in. Again, no pressure! It did not take long to decide we were right where we wanted to be, dealing with a wonderful dealership and an awesome salesman. Before we drove off today in our 2012 Outback, we sat in the vehicle while every single gauge, dial and feature was explained and demonstrated by Tim. I think I told Tim that no one has ever done this before in our years of purchasing a car. Tim, and the experience we had with Premier Subaru will be two great reasons why we will highly, and I mean, highly recommend your dealership to family and friends!
