Subaru Racer Crushes Isle of Man Record
Higgins shaves almost 2 full minutes off of record he previously set himself
In early June, 2016, Mark Higgins demonstrated Subaru of America's amazing ingenuity when he drove the 37 mile Snaefell Mountain Course at the Isle of Man in just 17 minutes, 35 seconds. Higgins recorded an average speed of 128.73 miles per hour in a modified 550 horsepower WRX STI. This far eclipses the previous course record of 19 minutes, 26 seconds at 116.47 miles per hour, also set by Higgins in a more stock STI.
Mark's brother, David Higgins, also holds a course record of his own at Mt. Washington Auto Road, New Hampshire, which he scaled in 2011 and completed the 7.6 mile course in just 6 minutes, 11 seconds.

KIA Motors recognized as one of the Highest Quality Brands
Wins major distinction from Strategic Vision
Strategic Vision has named Kia the highest quality brand under $26,000(in a tie) in the research-brand consultancy's Total Quality Impact(TQI) study. The highest performing models were the Kia Sorento and the Kia Sedona.
"The latest Strategic Vision TQI Data is further proof of the 'New Kia's' standing as a leader in design, quality, technology and value," said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, Kia Motors America. Strategic Vision surveyed more than 39,000 new-car owners to select the winners of this year's TQI awards. Owners surveyed praised the Sorento for its excellent value and premium interior design, while others gave the Sedona high marks for its innovative features, interior craftsmanship, and performance.

Adorable Adoptable Animals
Every issue, we present the story of a pet at a local animal shelter near you, who is looking for his or her "forever home".
Sparky is a 7 year old Beagle Mix whose owner recently passed away, and he could not stay in the house he was supposed to live in. As a result of being bounced around, he has had some difficulty adjusting and wants to be with one person in a quiet setting. He's still getting used to visitors, and when he is home he would rather be in his own room or crated if visitors come over. He is looking for that one true "best friend" who can open their heart and their home to him.
