The 2017 Subaru Impreza is coming
Subaru of America announced the release of the 2017 Impreza. The Impreza will be making its debut later in a Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) later this year, with manual transmissions becoming available in early 2017. The vehicle will come with four trims: 2.0i, Premium, Sport, and Limited.
New features for 2017 include Android Auto and Apple Car Play Compatibility, updated STARLINK system(including a new 8 inch multimedia screen and additional STARLINK plus connected systems), a new 7-speed manual mode on upgraded CVT, Upgraded LED Headlights, Steering Responsive Headlights, which illuminate curves as the car steers around them, and High Beam Assist, which automatically engages - or disengages - the High Beams beased on Driving Conditions.
The new Impreza also has upgrades to the Boxer Engine, which has increased from 148 to 152 horsepower, while at the same time boosting fuel effiency - early EPA estimates are as high as 38 miles per gallon on the highway.

Subaru makes good with Consumer Reports
The most recent Consumer Reports has some good news for Subaru when it comes to reliability and Consumer Satisfaction. Subaru has earned the "Recommended" mark on all of their models. Consumer Reports complimented Subaru on their ability to build "unpretentious, practical, and affordable all-wheel-drive cars".
Subaru also had the best overall among its peers in two segments: The Compact Car Category was won by the Subaru Impreza, and the Small SUV Category was won by the Subaru Forester. Our sister brand, Kia, also earned a victory, with the Sorento in the top spot in the Mid-Size SUV category.

Kia Soul and Cadenza named "Active Lifestyle Vehicles of the Year"
For the fifth consecutive year, the Kia Soul was named a winner at the 13th annual Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year awards held recently in Chandler, Arizona. Local media and elite athletes rated the Soul best in the urban category after dynamic and real-world evaluations. The Soul was joined in the winner's circle by the the all-new 2017 Cadenza, with a stunning redesign and comfortable passenger space.
"Winning the Active Lifestyle Vehicle award for the fifth consecutive year is a clear indication that the Soul makes a great companion for urbanites who are constantly on the go," said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. "Its unique combination of style, fun-to-drive attitude, extensive feature content, and practicality make the Soul a crowd favorite, while the Cadenza's upscale design, ample interior, and advanced convenience features make it a fierce competitor in the full-size sedan segment."
The 2016 Soul is one of KMA's best-selling nameplates for good reason. The fun-loving Soul combines a funky and functional design, premium interior and a long list of standard and optional amenities, making it a tremendous value for the money. The soon-to-come 2017 Soul will also add a turbocharged engine option.
The 2017 Cadenza is also a redesign, offering a premium vehicle which contends well with larger full-size cars like the Buick LaCrosse, or luxury cars like the Lexus ES Series. The engine/transmission also offers four drive modes with genuinely different feels - Eco to maximize gas mileage, Sport for a sharper response without using too much gas, Comfort for the most controlled ride, and Smart, which can automatically switch between them as conditions vary. It also provides a newly updated Harmon/Kardon audio system.
