September Fair Season
Premier Subaru and Premier Kia sponsored the Branford fair and Guilford Fair the 2nd and 3rd weekend of September. Our Marketing Assistant, Kayli Tarcy and our Client Ambassador, Barb Mullen attended both fairs. If you attended either fair, you probably recognized Barb, she has worked the fairs every year for the past 15 years. The Premier ladies enjoyed the live entertainment, food, rides, animals and meeting everyone who visited their tent. The ladies especially enjoyed the Family Circus; The Flying Wallendas, the Human Cannonball and the Jacob Barreda Elephants. They can't wait until next year!
2016 Subaru Crosstrek and Impreza
Subaru is expected to have the new Crosstrek and Impreza in late fall. The Crosstrek 2.0i is priced at about $21,595. The 2016 Crosstrek is now available with Driver Assist technologies which includes Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Crosstrek is available in the Hybrid and Gasoline models. The Crosstrek has a great new look, with a new grille, headlights and bumper. Both the Crosstrek and the Impreza have the option of having a five-speed manual transmission or the Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Impreza 2.0i Premium starts at a price of $21,095 and is well-equipped with the standard All-Weather Package, which includes 2-stage heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer. These 2016 models are now available with the new STARLINK multimedia system which offers AM/FM Stereo HD radio with single disc CD player, Bluetooth streaming audio and hands-free phone capability, iPod control with iTunes tagging and rear-vision camera.
Kia Wins Ultimate Minivan Challenge
Cars.com and PBS's MotorWeek conducted a Minivan Challenge among 5 different auto brands. The contest tested the fully loaded minivans to evaluate the features and technology and drivetrains. The minivans were tested for a week; among all 5 brands, the Kia Sedona won the contest. The Kia Sedona comes with the 5 years/60,000 miles overall warranty, as well as the 10 years/100,000 miles powertrain warranty, whereas the other 4 brands have a 3 years/36,000 miles overall warranty and 5 years/60,000 miles powertrain warranty. The judges say it is the best looking van out there. Each vehicle was tested on a 135-mile course, tested by families, and multiple experts, and overall the judges chose the Kia Sedona as the winner.

Adorable Adoptable Animals
Every month we highlight a pet that is in need of a good home in the Branford area.
"Bundle of joy" is the best way to describe this happy, energetic little Pomeranian. That was far from the case a few months ago when Eve was rescued from the middle of a busy four lane highway. She was thin, filthy, and suffered from egg sized mammary tumors. Her Vet thinks Eve escaped or was turned out from a puppy mill. After surgery and treatment, Eve is now is good health and great spirits. She loves to cuddle in your lap or follow you wherever you go. She is crate trained and house trained. She is affectionate and very sweet! Eve is approximately 10 years old and weighs 9 lbs. It has been said that Poms can live to be 16-17 years, so little Eve can still enjoy many years in her new adoptive home!
